Humanitarian Aid
Empathy along with action is at the core of what we do.
Although every DMC member hails from a diverse background, we are united by a meaningful common thread - our core humanitarian instinct to do social good. Since February 2020, DMC has reached over 1 million people providing food, housing security, medical, clothing, and other humanitarian aid assistance in crisis situations.
Ongoing efforts
- Following Covid-19 safety guidelines, DMC is exploring how to operate community kitchen coordinating with various restaurant partners across Delhi for laborers and low-income essential workers
- Ration, essentials, and food distribution for people, especially disabled elders in quarantine.
Achievements
- In 2020, DMC’s 50-day Community Kitchen initiative reached over 10,000+ people.
- Provided winter clothing support including sweaters, blankets, and mufflers to 5000+ people during harsh winter.
- Delhi Riots: Distributed 10,000+ ration kits, provided medical, and other humanitarian relief aid for families directly affected by Delhi riots.
- Fire at Ghaziabad slum area: Supported immediate disaster relief by coordinating with multiple charity organizations and distributed clothes, utensils, food, other essential aid to help 200+ affected families
