Covid-19 Relief Efforts
Coronavirus Pandemic disrupted every sector possible bringing, unimaginable losses to the world.
Even when it left like all hopes were lost in containing the virus spread, DMC operated at its proactive best. Our members put their own lives at risk, without inhibitions, delivering real-time help to more than 10,000 Covid affected people.
Ongoing efforts
Presently, to scale COVID-19 relief efforts, DMC is actively mobilizing funds and sponsorship support to kickstart three initiatives:
- Ambulance with Oxygen Support, to increase ease of healthcare access for COVID affected people
- COVID Help Desk, ask a Doctor (Emergency Consultation)
- Procuring Oxygen Cylinders, in collaboration with Private Sector and other partners
Achievements
- Since Feb 2021, DMC has supported in providing 500+ Oxygen cylinders and concentrators to COVID affected patients all over India
- DMC leveraged strong volunteer networks, connections in the healthcare sector and helped COVID patients with 1000+ bed admissions with Oxygen, ICU, and Ventilator support.
- DMC assisted in procuring Covid-19 relief medicines that are in high shortage for 400+ patients. Provided home care and counseling support to 1000+ COVID-affected families. Mitigating panic, DMC supported cremation services for several deceased families.
- In association with Kairali Charitable Foundation, Pune, launched an All India Plasma Donation Campaign to streamline plasma donor search.
